Hiring a CRA in Finland
Experienced clinical research associates for studies in Finland and the other Nordic countries, usually in place within a week. One agreement, and you pay for the hours actually worked.
A CRA in place within a week
Most sponsors and CROs who contact us need someone soon: a CRA has left, a new site has opened, or visits have fallen behind. We can usually put a CRA in place within a week, from our internal team or from our wider network of consultant CRAs. One person at RecQ stays your contact for the whole study.
What our CRAs do
The whole monitoring cycle, or the part of it you are short of.
Start-up and initiation
Site initiation visits and getting the site ready for the first participant, with the essential documents and the site file in order.
Monitoring visits
On-site and remote monitoring, source data verification, eCRF queries and follow-up of protocol deviations, with visit reports on time.
Close-out
Close-out visits and the last checks before the site file goes to archiving.
Your systems or ours
Our CRAs work in your SOPs and systems or in RecQ’s own, with daily work in Medidata Rave, Oracle InForm and eClinicalOS.
Hospital records
Read access to hospital records such as Apotti is paid by RecQ, so source data checks in Finnish hospitals cost you nothing extra.
Device studies
Clinical investigations of medical devices under ISO 14155 and the MDR, alongside ICH GCP work on medicinal product trials.
How a placement works
- You tell us about the study: the sites, the start date and how many days a month you need.
- We reply by the next working day and suggest CRAs who fit the study and its sites.
- You see their profiles and meet the CRA you prefer before anything is agreed.
- The work goes under one master service agreement. If you already have one with us, no new contract is needed.
- The CRA starts, usually within a week of your go-ahead, and the same RecQ contact stays with you until the study closes.
How the billing works
No blocks of FTE hours bought in advance. You pay for the work that was done.
Who the CRAs are
Our internal CRAs and study start-up specialists are freelancers who work as one team under RecQ, led by Rekaut Naderipour and team leader Claudia Ijäs. Beyond them, RecQ works with a large network of consultant CRAs for other regions and for larger studies.
- Rekaut Naderipour, CEO, Study Manager and Senior CRA: CRA of the Year 2023 (Pharmaca), GCP trainer, and one of the translators of the current GCP guideline into Finnish.
- Studies we have monitored have been inspected by the FDA, BfArM and Fimea.
- Working languages in the team: Finnish, Swedish, English, Danish, Norwegian, German and Russian.
- Our own team covers Finland and the other Nordic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Estonia.
Questions sponsors ask
How quickly can a CRA start?
Usually within a week of your go-ahead. Tell us the start date when you first contact us and we will say straight away if it is realistic.
Are your CRAs employees or freelancers?
Our internal CRAs are freelancers who work as one team under RecQ, managed by Rekaut Naderipour and Claudia Ijäs. You deal with RecQ, under one agreement, and RecQ stays responsible for the work.
Can the CRA work in our SOPs and systems?
Yes. Our CRAs work in the sponsor’s or CRO’s SOPs and systems, or in RecQ’s own if you prefer.
We need more than monitoring. Is that a separate contract?
No. The same master service agreement covers submissions, research permits, site agreements, study nurses, translations, logistics and archiving.
Do you work outside Finland?
Our own team works in all the Nordic countries and in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Estonia. Other regions are covered through RecQ’s consultant CRAs.
How do you charge?
By the hours actually worked, invoiced under the master service agreement. You never buy a block of FTE hours in advance.
